In today’s article, I will show you how to factory reset your JLab Go Air Sport earbuds.
Resetting the earbuds can help fix:
- Connecting or pairing problems
- One side is not working
- Low volume on one side
- Being out of sync
- Static or buzzing sounds
- Audio cutting in and out
Preparing for the Reset
- First Step: Have the earbuds in the case.
- Second Step: Close the case, then open it up.
Performing the Factory Reset
Initiating the Reset Process
- Third Step: Now what we have to do is tap the touch sensor on each one of the buds seven times. Okay. And when we do it seven times, you’ll see it blinking blue like four times. You have to look really close because the light’s super, super dim.
Completing the Reset on Each Side
- Fourth Step (Right Bud): I’ll do this side first: 1-2-3-4-5-6-7, and you can see the light blinking there.
- Fifth Step (Left Bud): And then we’re going to do this side here. Ready? 1-2-3-4-5-6-7, and then make sure it’s blinking. Yes, there it is. If it’s not blinking, just do it again: 1-2-3-4-5-6-7, and it’s really hard. You really have to look in there.
Confirming the Reset and Pairing Mode
- Sixth Step: Now, once we pull them out, they should be factory reset. They will automatically go into pairing mode. You’ll know it’s in pairing mode when one of them is blinking blue, white, blue, white, like this one here. Blue, white, blue, white. Okay. Just one of them. So we know that it’s in pairing mode.
Reconnecting to a Device
If Previously Connected to an iPhone
- Seventh Step: So, for instance, let’s say that it was connected previously to your iPhone. Okay, so if I go to settings here and then I’m going to go to Bluetooth, and then see, before I was connected here.
- Eighth Step: Let me go ahead and I’m going to reconnect to the same phone. So let me go ahead and click on the “i” there, and I’m going to click on “Forget this device”. If you’re on an Android phone, you want to click on “Unpair”. Okay, so forget this device.
Resolving Pairing Issues
- Ninth Step: And now these are still in pairing mode. So it should pop up here, back on here. Okay, it’s not popping up. Let me just turn off Bluetooth and turn it back on. And it’s still in pairing mode. Oh, there it is right there, JLab Go Air Sport. And now I can just reconnect back to my iPhone.
